I walked past the tomato paste three times. It was like the person who packed the shelves in the supermarket had deliberately hidden it from me. I gave up, loaded some chocolate biscuits in my basket and headed for the till. I asked the cashier where the tomato paste was. The person she sent to assist me took me directly to the place I had walked past three times, took a can of tomato paste from the shelf and put it in my hand. How did I miss it? I realised that while I was wandering up and down the aisles looking for the tomato paste, I was thinking about what biscuits I should buy. My thoughts were not in the same place that I was. Is it any wonder I didn’t find what I was looking for?
